About Maisie Cheng
Maisie Cheng joined the Deco Clay Craft Academy in 1996. After completing the advanced courses and obtained the instructor’s certificates, she started the teaching of Deco clay craft. She has participated in many craft art exhibitions including an exhibition in Tokyo organized by Deco Clay Craft Academy. Talking Clay was set up in 2006 and has started giving classes in City Garden North Point up till now. Venues for classes are now expanded to many primary and secondary schools and private organizations. Up to now, Maisie Cheng has given classes to hundreds of students of all ages and various nationalities. Some students are now become instructors and have classes of their own.
Deco Clay Craft Academy was founded in 1981 by Kazuko Miyai. Since 1981, DECO Clay Craft Academy has spread throughout Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States.
Deco clay is easy to handle and can be moulded under room temperature. Therefore, it can be shaped into various kinds of house ware, picture holders, decorations or anything within your own imagination and creativity.
